where? what? why?

i have been seeing this quote around the Internet. i don't agree so i have posed these questions to those who believe it.

"we are not human beings having a spiritual experience. we are spiritual beings having a human experience."

1 - where is the spiritual place you are from (name, location)?
2 - is the colour scheme the same (blue sky, green grass, clear water, etc.)?
3 - how was it decided you would come here?

my new job is a trip

advertising is hard. my assignments are to coordinate a grocery ad with four managers. all the prices, descriptions and pictures - 100% with weekly signs is so hard, especially when vendors give you the wrong information to start with. Did I mention 3 different ads for 47 stores, including large orders to meet the front page promotions? i'm tired, mentally.

i'm glad it pays well.

time flies

i can't believe its the weekend. time at work flies by now that i'm really working.

i'm starting to like my job more as i understand how to manipulate the new systems that i work with.

today i have a knitting class at the library. i have always wanted real instruction because i could never get the hang of it. hopefully this will keep me out of the malls and help me manage my money better, by making a sweater or two.

i just realize this morning that i am in my middle age (42) !! honestly, i look and feel under 30. i've had a couple of people tell me recently that they could not believe i was in my forties. i enjoy my life now, much more that before. sounds like that saying - you're not getter older, you're getting better. we talked about getting older at work, and how i cried a month before i turned 30, and a month after. silly me.

full day

it's Sunday but i will be working today. there's is so much on my desk due to the short weeks. my company is growing (yay!) with the purchase of 4 new stores, and because they are in different markets, it will add greatly to my assignments. some of the changes will happen tomorrow, so i really want to get caught up.

anyhoo, along with work, today i need to do my laundry, clean up, and workout. i also plan to watch a movie called Waking Life that someone in another group mentioned. i want to share my commentary. so far it appears the people have contradicted themselves in their comments. very weird although the animation is cool.

oh, i went to the $1 show yesterday to see Under The Tuscan Sun. 1 1/2 stars. the acting was good, but the movie was so slow. the ending lacked hmph! i almost fell asleep.

it is important to keep a close relationship with God to grow spiritually, so the plagues of this life will not harm me, and i can feel good about my life at judgement.

another year

when i think of another year, i think one year closer to the Kingdom. no celebration of life here. i was sleep at midnight.

as far as resolutions, in Kwanzaa we look at 7 principles to see what we have done over the past year, and thoughts for the next. i plan to stop proscratinating so much and continue to expand my mind by learning as much as i can. last year i made my mind up to lose 90 lbs, and i did!

one thing that i do everyday is read the Holy Bible. i plan to post the verses i cover here each day. it's amazing how clear God speaks through the fire.

if a person does not follow the statutes and commandments of the Creator, the enemy will close their hearts were they cannot see the evil they are doing.
