Holy Week ends

yesterday was truly a divine day for me. my Lord's Supper was spectacular! i had homemade unleavened bread and pomegranate juice to reverence my Saviour, and his victory on the cross. The feast consisted of vegetable kugel, jambalaya rice with fava beans, and whole roasted garlic bulbs.

after taking time to vocally recite the pleasures of life with Christ, i played 2 songs on my kinnor harp that i had written this year. i watched a one-hour tape of the history of Jesus' life growing up Jew and noticed all the errors in the synagogue that resulted in his death for God's glory. it was great!

be ye humbled

when you stop eating you quickly understand that without the Creator and the things he has made to sustain life, our lives can quickly end. i believe each time we fast it is a new lesson in life.

this time was kinda hard near the end. it was due to my heavy workout schedule and reduced calorie diet. my metabolism was so high, my body was melting (i lost 4 lbs.) i didn't get hungry because it is a rite that i enjoy.

recently i read in a book that fasting allows your organs to rest and clean themselves out. sounds like a human body tune-up. the human body is a magnificent machine that requires care. i'm glad to see God has included it in the worship to Him.

Oh my soul
Rise up and praise the LORD.

work with the UN

someone made an interesting point on CSPAN today. they stated all the talk about working with the UN and accepting its purpose and actions. the UN is the one who partitioned Israel to be a state in 1947, which actually happened in 1948. why aren't the Arabs following the UN and accept this fact? seems hypocrital.

Holy Week

Today is the start of my holy week. The Holy Bible instructs us to do a 2 day fast before the Lord's Supper for purification (Ex:19:10, Ze:8:19). I really like this time. Not only do I get to understand more about my body, but also my spirit. Then I sup with my Saviour and acknowledge all He has done for me. I being Nazarite !

The Rescue

PRAISE GOD

Because the troops were not on a mission to find the POWs but were led to them shows that this is a work of God. They were handed to us.

Grab a timbrel or harp , sing and dance and give JEHOVAH the praise. There are several people praying for the American troops and he is answering our prayers, without a doubt it was God's work, and not us.

This morning I opened my Holy Bible to study/worship. This is the very first verse I read: Isaiah 35:10 - "And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their head: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and and sighing shall flee away." Interesting huh? About 20 minutes later my mom called me to tell me the news and I couldn't believe it! I just went back to the Holy Bible and was reminded what I had read. PRAISE GOD!!!!

yeah, i said it!

I am so sick and tired of people who complain about the United States and their policies. First, is anyone perfect? So how can a country be perfect? If America is so bad, LEAVE!!! Why are you still here trying to bring my world down? Geesh, move along. Go to that better place you keep talking about.

I read in another weblog yesterday that America should go and help other countries rid themselves of dictators. Those countries need to take it upon themselves to put a new government in place. Oh wait, they must want a handout. Everyone thinks America has all this money, so they want to wait on us. Are we in Iraq for the oil? Someone has to pay for the war effort. All countries can’t. Why? Because they are killing their own citizens (ala Saddam) to make a profit on the resources. Can we all say DIAMONDS?!

I really don’t care to hear about the countries that are suffering from the corruption they bring upon themselves. AND STOP LOOKING TO THE USA FOR HELP!!!

People really upset me with their one-sided view and hands out for moola. Get over it, and get out. We don’t want you or your opinions here.

Peace in the Middle East (never to happen, but sounds good).

Monday Mission

1. Would you rather impress or influence others? Why? Which do you tend to do more than the other? Influence, for the better
2. Are you able to admit your weaknesses to others? How do you handle your weaknesses (Can you accept them and see them as a strength? (Do you strive to overcome them? etc.) Yes, I can admit my weaknesses without a problem. I realize I am human and make mistakes.
3. How do you react when you are bossed around, treated as inferior or taken advantage of? I usually will make the person realize clearly what they are doing and how it makes them look, without loosing my temper if possible.
4. Do you live your life to meet your own needs, or do you live to meet the needs of others? Why? My own needs. It is wrong to put confidence in man, they will let you down.
5. This is your Mission on Mondays, but what is your mission in life? To please God; get to know him. What he likes and what he doesn’t like. That is the meaning of life to me.
6. Can you focus on your goals and achieve them, or are you sidetracked by minor distractions along the way? I am good at focus. I don’t take my time here that serious. I know this is only temporary.
7. When was the last time you cried? What were you feeling at that moment (anger, sadness, etc.)? Watching a foreign film called Not One Less. I cry during movies all the time.

This or That Tuesday!

1. Poetry or prose? poetry - although I like to read, I would rather read something that is short and to the point.
2. Funky modern art or the older, "classic" variety? modern art
3. Sculptures or paintings? ooo, hard to chose. paintings can be so varied with collages, and even mixed media.
4. Theatre: exuberant musical or serious drama? musicals are whimsy and funny most times, and I like to laugh
5. Ballet or modern dance? modern dance
6. Movies: major studio or indie? I like indie films over blockbusters
7. Authors: Shakespeare or Dr. Seuss?Shakespeare has a certain sound, kinda soulful
8. TV: PBS or A&E? PBS (although i'm not a fan of fundraisers)
9. Music: Beethoven or Beatles? Beethoven – after hearing Moonlight Sonata everyone will agree…
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You are a contributing member of your favorite art museum, and visit on a regular basis. They announce a new, temporary special exhibit by an artist surrounded by controversy...this person's work and/or political views offend you. Do you stop supporting the museum, or just stay away during the time the exhibit is there? I would avoid the exhibit only.
