i'm back!

i enjoyed my trip. the train was delayed on Saturday due to a detour. Amtrak passenger services sent me to Chicago and put me in a hotel overnight. i spent the day walking around Chicago. went by Buckingham Fountain and toured the Spertus Museum. had a fabulous lunch at Haifa Cafe and trekked back to Union Station to leave at 3:15 PM on Monday.

got to Flagstaff at 9:18 PM on Tuesday. whew! toured the Canyon on Wednesday, shopping on Thursday, and out via bus on Friday at 12:15 PM. home this morning at 9:35 AM.

i love to travel. next stop - the Master's Cup tennis tournament in Houston, TX. go Andy!

bye for now

my internet connection was down for most of the evening so i couldn't get online. i had some chores to do before i left, so i was busy anyway.

i don't have a lot to say. i need to get in bed. choo choo in a few hours.

the hostel i'm staying at has a cybercafe, so i will try to download pictures. i did buy a digital camera. hadn't learn how to work it yet.

i'm so excited! c'ya!

tick, tock, tick, tock

time passing so fast. i can't believe five weeks have past since i ordered my train tickets. i will be leaving Saturday!! yes! funny, i will be on the train for five days, and only in the canyon for two. that's the way it goes with train travel. it is slow and takes awhile. i didn't know most people take the train one way, not both. oh well, i plan to use this time to reflect on things and catch up with some reading. i'll try to get back online before i leave.

change of plans

my house is a junky mess! i've decided to forgo my quest to sale the items via eBay. i might do a few, but not as many as planned. i gave some things to my mom, sister and niece. I will give the rest to a woman's shelter. i don’t want to give it to a place that resells it.

i’ve been moving boxes from one side of the living room to the other in order to walk out. this is not working.
